The three most important things during Corona are: Take care of each other, flatten the curve and don’t get depressed - and that’s why we conducted a list of the 6 most uplifting tv shows that will comfort you through your time at home with almost 7 days of running time in total. And they are so bingeworthy that you don’t even want to go outside as well!

Total length of all shows: 6 days, 17 hours, 34 minutes

Crazy Ex Girlfriend (Netflix) - total length: 1 Day, 19 hours, 43 minutes

Crazy Ex Girlfriend has been widely praised for its portrayal of mental illness and treatment - the scripts are so precisely that even Psychology Today acknowledged the achievements of the shows and praised its approach. And if you ever wondered whether a show about mental illness can be lighthearted and uplifting you should definitely check it out - it’s an incredibly entertaining mixture of romantic comedy, drama and musical with some of the most catchiest tunes ever written that wraps its serious themes in candy colors.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Netflix) – total length: 1 day, 1 hour, 30 minutes

Four weeks in quarantine? That would be a walk in the park for Kimmy Schmidt who had been held captive for 15 years by a doomsday cult. After her rescue she’s determined to be seen as something other than a victim and moves to New York. Only armed with her positive attitude she makes new friends and tumbles from one hilarious situation to the next one and the brilliant scrips resolve even the most absurd moments with witty and edgy comedy elements while adding a feminist tone to one of the most uplifting sitcoms ever made.

There are so many jokes and references per minute that Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt tremendously benefits from a second or third viewing to make sure you don’t miss out on anything while laughing your ass off.

Glow (Netflix) – total length: 17 hours, 30 minutes

Glow is from the masterminds behind “Orange is the new Black” and the short form for “Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling” – and if your first thought is “I am absolutely not interest in Wrestling”, then you are in the same boat as the protagonists in Glow. They don’t care about wrestling as well but instead want to become famous Hollywood actresses. Destiny had other plans for them and they end up auditioning for an all-female wrestling show and have to learn how to fake fighting and coming up with their own personas as wrestling stars.

You will never ever see any other show filled with so much butt-kicking females, sheer 80ies madness with neon lights all over the place, hilarious spandex-outfits, tons of hairspray and a really truthful depiction of real women and all the struggles they have to fight through. Trust us, you will understand at the latest after the infamous breastfeeding scene which will make you laugh as hell and feel the pain at the same time.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon Prime) – total length: 1 day, 42 minutes

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is the new show from Amy Sherman-Palladino, the creator of “Gilmore Girls” – and focusses on a housewife in the late 50ies in New York who discovers her talent for standup-comedy. Against all odds and resistance of almost everybody around her she pursues her career and makes The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel to one of the most uplifting and empowering heroines while constantly delivering hard-hitting punchlines and social commentary.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Netflix) – total length of episodes available on Netflix so far: 1 day, 10 minutes, 45 minutes

With more jokes per minute than your diaphragm could potentially handle Brooklyn Nine-Nine will be the perfect workout for your laughing muscles – and you don’t even have to leave your couch! This show is the perfect combination of hilarious one-liners, extremely likable characters, ludicrous slapsticks and surprisingly deep and fundamental statements about the current conditions of our society in the later seasons. Don’t repeat my mistake and confuse Brooklyn Nine-Nine with just another sitcom as it completely raises the bar.

Pushing Daisies (Amazon, unfortunately not included in Prime) – total length: 15 hours, 24 minutes

Ned has a magical gift: he can bring people back from life by touching them. But this gift comes with not only one but two fatal restrictions – if he touches the very same person ever again she/he will be dead immediately. The perfect setting for a love story that’s so sweet that it will give you instant diabetes! Combined with the most beautiful and colorful images ever composed for a tv show and dreamlike storylines Pushing Daisies has been too much to digest for a lot of viewers. But no other show sparks more joy than this, period. And with the ongoing corona threat Pushing Daisies shows how you can be close to your loved ones without ever touching them.
